Through partnerships with trusted community organisations, we distributed smartphones to eligible individuals, empowering them with tools for communication, education, and employment.

Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

Community Foundation has set up a scheme covering most of the Lozells Area. Residents of the area can become members, and help in making sure that the area is strong, clean, and a safe place to live.

Data Bank

Community Foundation, in partnership with Vodafone, are offering a free 6-month sim card. The free sim card is available for those not working and without access to the internet or those isolated.

We regularly organise estate clean ups in target areas with our volunteers and local residents to remove litter and dumped household furniture.

Medina Food Bank

The cost-of-living crisis has had a severe impact on the most vulnerable people of our community, and we want to help by giving emergency food to members of the community that needs it the most.

Handy People Scheme

Community Foundation started a Handy Person Scheme which allowed people to get an odd job from painting and decorating to mowing the lawn and cleaning completed at an affordable price.

Wardens Scheme

Community Wardens scheme helps to improve people’s quality of life and help reduce crime, by reducing fear of crime and tackling low level anti-social behaviour and environmental crime.

Community Foundation is supporting BVSC Research to evaluate the impact of the Long Covid Community Engagement activity as part of Birmingham & Solihull NHS Post Covid Syndrome Service.

Bosnia

An educational trip to Bosnia in partnership with Remembering Srebrenica, giving individuals the chance to meet survivors and observe the work conducted by the International Commission.

Sahara Housing Scheme

Provides good quality accommodation for Muslim women with diverse needs, in a culturally sensitive, supportive, and safe environment.

Economic Development

We were selected by the Dept for Communities and Local Government to pilot the CED programme. We offered a range of programmes to support economically disadvantaged people to improve their financial circumstances.
